What is a Content Management System ?
Basically a Content Management System uses software to handle, store and display content and the layout of a website.
The user takes care of the content, adds and edits text and uploads images when requires.
The storing of this content and images, the creation of links and the display of the content is handled by the software. Usually the content is stored in a database.
This is just a very simple summary.
If you are running a web site without a CMS, you will come to the point where your eBusiness is no longer sustainable because you cannot update your site reliably or quickly enough.
Time to tear down almost your entire website and put a CMS in its place.

CMS Benefits No more accidents
The site’s content is under your control. Only content you approved is published. Links to content pages are always working. No dead links, the system takes care of it. You take control of the content, the system takes control of the layout.
... and the webmaster you fired cannot replace photos of board members with goats as his way of saying ‘Good Bye’
Speed to market
When you have a CMS, you suddenly have a tremendous advantage in the time. You can write, edit and publish updates in a matter of minutes without suffering from "WebMaster Bottleneck".
Reduced maintenance costs
By automating the building of pages on your site, you will save substantial sums in site maintenance costs. And a competent Web Publisher who will not break your site will cost you a few hundred $ per day.
